Myra also holds significance in Christian history; Saint Nicholas, also known as Santa Claus, is revered as the patron saint of Myra, making the city a pilgrimage site for Christians.

Today, Myra Ancient City is an archaeological site open to visitors. The site boasts numerous historical structures and ruins, including a theater, fortress, temples, tombs, and other buildings. Among these, the theater stands out as one of the most impressive structures, remarkably well-preserved to this day.

However, some of the structures and ruins in Myra have been weathered over time and underwent restoration. Tourism plays a vital role in the region's economy, with Myra Ancient City being a popular destination visited by tourists throughout the year.

Visiting hours for Myra Ancient City vary between the winter and summer seasons. During the summer season, entry is allowed from 08:30 to 19:30, while in the winter season, entry is permitted from 08:30 to 17:30

Myra Ancient City accepts museum cards, allowing holders to visit this historic site free of charge.
